Next Steps at QOOOL Sensing
A lot has happened over the last few weeks, and there’s plenty more going on behind the scenes: entries for the QOOOL DIY Challenge are now open, and at the same time our new Quanten Interaktiv section has gone live, which will be updated regularly. Why not take a look 👉 https://qoool-sensing.org/de/quantum-interactive/
The upcoming dates for the rest of the year have also been finalised 🗓️:
- From 23 to 24 June, you can meet us at the IdeenExpo in Hanover
- On 14 July, we’ll be at Quantendienstag at the Deutsches Museum
- On 15 July, you’ll find us at the PhotonLab at the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in Garching
- On 22 July, you can meet us at the Fast Track Innovation Camp 2026 at Fraunhofer IAO
- In September, we will be presenting at the Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements (CPEM2026) in Madrid
- From 15 to 19 September, we will be at the AMB – International Exhibition for Metalworking at the Messe Stuttgart exhibition centre to demystify quantum sensor technology a little
- We will also be attending Quantum Effects at Messe Stuttgart again this year, which takes place from 6 to 7 October
- The closing event for quantum aktiv will take place from 4 to 5 November at phaeno in Wolfsburg, which we will also be attending
We’re also making progress on the hardware front. At the same time, we’re currently developing the design for the Magneto add-on board for the senseBox, and the first demo setups will be ready in the coming months – stay tuned 🚀
As you know, we developed our own resonator design because we were dissatisfied with the current state of the art. We also identified a reliable LED light source for our π-MK1 platform, but there was still room for improvement. That is why, over the past few weeks, we have created a completely new light source that has never existed in this form before. We call it a "laser-like LED" because its light spectrum has been optimised and it focuses the light much more effectively onto the diamonds. We still need to decide which diamond we’ll end up choosing. So it remains to be seen 💎
As you can see, we’re far from finished, and we’ve still got plenty to achieve before our project comes to a close. So it’s well worth checking back regularly, and perhaps we’ll bump into each other at one of our events!
